Fashion Institute of Technology students compete.
Kornit and the Fashion Institute of Technology have announced the winners of the second stage of their annual printed textiles competition. Fashion design students used printed textiles designed by their classmates in the textile/surface design school to create ready-to-wear garments. The materials were printed on a Kornit Allegro textile printer.
Judges Zahir Babvani (FullBeauty Brands), Leslie Baker (Bon-Ton), Nicki Gondell (Trend House), Debby Strickler (Trend House), Erin Doty (Kornit Digital), and Marco Paul (Kornit Digital) chose winners based on marketability, printed textile, construction, and trend, among other considerations. The top three students were Allison Clausius, Anchal Kansra, and Aarohi Shah.
