ColorBurst Proofing System Receives Certification

(March 2007) posted on Mon Mar 19, 2007

ColorBurst Systems, Ashburn, VA, announced its RIP Proofing System has been certified by IDEAlliance for the new SWOP and GRACoL standard on the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer. IDEAlliance certification for SWOP and GRACoL is based on colorimetric measurements instead of a visual review to ensure that a system can accurately match a press sheet. ColorBurst Systems says its RIP is the first to pass the new standards and the attain certification on the Epson Stylus Pro 3800.

“IDEAlliance presented a challenge with the tighter SWOP and GRACoL certification requirements, and we reengineered the ColorBurst RIP to rise to the challenge,” says Larry Spevak, president of ColorBurst Systems. “Meeting these standards proves we can match a press sheet as accurately as any system, and we can do it at an affordable price point.” ColorBurst is located at 44710 Cape Ct. #142, Ashburn, VA 20147, 703-723-8580, e-mail: cse@colorburstrip.com, Web: www.colorburstrip.com.
