You’ve been grinding away on press for untold hours, churning out trendy shirts for bratty kids, yard signs for scumbag politicians, and other jobs that make you cringe—especially when something goes wrong.

You’re burned out and need a remedy. I suggest taking a trip to another shop in your area to see what drags them into the gutter you call a day of work. But switch it up a bit. If you print garments, drop in on a graphics guy. Or go completely off the reservation and visit a commercial printer.

The point of the exercise is to freshen up your outlook. You may get the chance to indulge in the feeling that assures you that you’re on the right track after all. And if you have a borderline personality disorder, you can rejoice in the grandest fashion imaginable upon seeing for yourself that everyone suffers to some degree, regardless of what or how they print. On the other hand, you may find some extremely creative solutions to the vexing problems that bend your mind and crush your spirit each day.

What are you waiting for? Get out there and get happy!
