The 98UVX is the newest model in MacDermid ColorSpan's line of DisplayMaker inkjets. The flatbed/roll-fed UV inkjet printer uses SolaChrome-UV (CMYK) inks and accommodates media up to 98.5 in. (2510 mm) wide and 0.50 in. (12.7 mm) thick. Sixteen Micro-Quad piezo printheads offer imaging resolutions up to 600 dpi, and the 98UVX supports print speeds up to 438 sq ft/hr (41 sq m/hr). Two 36 x 101-in. (914 x 2565-mm) roller tables attach to the front and rear of the printer for jobs that involve rigid media up to 60 in. long (1524 mm). Additional tables can be added for media up to 120 in. (3048 mm) long. Releasable pinch rollers are designed to ease material loading.
