The new UVISTAR roll-fed UV inkjet printers from Fujifilm Sericol USA
(www.fujifilmsericol.com) are designed to print at speeds up to 3800 sq ft/hr (353 sq m/hr). Developed out of a partnership between Fujifilm Sericol and Matan Digital Printers, the UVISTAR series includes 138- and 197-in. (3.5- and 5-m) printers that can handle media such as self-adhesive vinyl, mesh, blue-back paper, backlit material, Tyvek, and other coated and uncoated materials. UVISTAR printers feature 32 printheads with drop sizes starting at 30 pl and support ink coverage of up to 1940 sq ft/l (180 sq m/l). The 5-m printer is capable of printing on coated and uncoated flexible and rigid materials, and its optional multiroll feature enables the print to accommodate up to three rolls simultaneously.
