Workhorse Products (www.workhorseproducts.com) developed its Photosharp Screen Exposure System to offer fast exposure times and long lamp life. The unit has a 1000-W, metal-halide, dual-spectrum light source. Workhorse says the shuttered lamp system offers fast exposure times because there is no warm-up period and that lamp life is also preserved because of fewer lamp strikes. The dual-spectrum lamp is designed to process diazo and photopolymer-sensitized emulsions. Photosharp features an integrated digital time control with auto shut-off and auto-repeat. According to Workhorse, it also has a durable hold-down blanket, a powerful vacuum hold-down, and has the capacity to hold extra large screens. Photosharp comes in 115- and 230-vac models.
