"The Matan Spot36 fills the niche of a moderately priced digital printer for specialized, high-durability two-color applications," says Hanan Yosefi, Matan's president and CEO. Jobs for which the Spot36 is designed include wayfinding and traffic signage, window graphics, industrial work, and more. The printer is equipped with Kyocera printheads, prints up to two colors in one pass, offers imaging resolutions up to 1200 x 400 dpi, and can print at speeds up to 885 ft/hr (270 m/hr). A variety of spot colors are available, as are traffic red, blue and green, metallic gold and silver, and etched and opaque white. Spot36 accommodates media up to 36.6 in. (930 mm) wide and features a 36.4-in. (924-mm) effective print width. The thermal-transfer printer accepts media-roll sizes up to 19.6 in. (500 mm) in diameter with a 3- or 6-in. (76- or 152-mm) core and take-up roll sizes up to 13.8 in. (350 mm) with a 3-in. core. RIP software is Scanvec PhotoPrint Server 4.6.
