Dear Madam/Sir,
I am a student from the London Business School who as part of the
course requirements needs to do a feasibility study to assess the
profitability of the UK screen printed and embroidered garments sector,
in particular the segment directed towards large corporates and non-for-
profit organisations (as opposed to consumers).
I would be very grateful if you could suggest any good source or
publication you may be aware of that provides updated financial data on
the sector, and/or key trends, and/or relevant market segmentation and
key purchasing drivers.
Thank you very much in advance,
Best regards,
Danilo Lucibello

There is no feasibility for screen print. I would estimate probably 10 out of 2,000 screen businesses suceed. Most of the rest are just holding their noses above water and some acually succeed. They are the ones that say "this is what it is gooing to cost" and stick to their guns.
Why?
Because screen printing is an undervalued commidity. Nobody will pay the required price based on what it actually costs. Screen printers continually cut their own throats trying to be cheaper and faster. Ergo, nobody makes money, printers make no profit, press men get paid minimum wage (with 15 years experience) and the equipment is ****. (this is a "generality" which I believe to be truthful of the industry as a whole)
I would "not recommend" anyone going into the screening business without balls of steel and very deep pockets.
