I have a Brother 4-head, 12-needle BES-1240BC that I purchased from a distressed competitor yesterday - helped him and should be good for me too. The machine was placed into service new in late 2007. I didn't plan on buying this - I was looking for a single head that they also had and couldn't refuse this offer (I didn't get the single-head and am still looking). I got a good deal, though, on this 4-head and am willing to pass that on in order to move it... my sales volumes just don't support a 4-head. The photos do not show the plexiglass dust shelft that is mounted above the thread cones - I removed it for transport. It is like new and undamaged. I also did not attach the sewing table... again, it was removed for transport. I have the manuals as well as the computer, software, cables, keyboard, mouse, & monitor you'll need to drive the machine, complete with the Brother Production Control Software. This allows you to store, view, assign sequencing/needles/thread colors, etc... you can even track your operator productivity.. The unit measures 107" long by 31.25" wide in it's "ready-to-transport" dimensions. I'm not sure what the sewing tables add... but the important thing is it can fit through most doorways. I brought it home in a covered trailer and was surprised at how easy this machine was to transport.
I think it's worth about $17-20k (there are two on EmbroideryYellowPages.com right now - one at $17.5k and the other at $20.5k... one with digitizing software). I'd be thrilled to move it at $12k and would be willing to talk about delivery to you as well. Again, I'm happy to deeply discount it and move on.
