More efficient??

Posted on Wed, 28 Apr 2004 at 11:46

Some friends and I have a set-up right now with two printing presses and two single shirt flash dryers and we're able to do between 40-60 shirts and hours each. We do very simple one color ink shirts. However, we're looking to increase our efficiency. If we need to print quantities of 500+ shirts, our lives quickly become nothing but printing shirts. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on some relativly inexpensive ways to increase our efficiency. We've been looking at automatic presses and conveyor belt dryers and such, but we aren't exactly sure what would help us out the most. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks.

Coiln,
I agree totally with chris. I am a small home based shop that we have been building a little at a time for a while. We used to use our flash dryer for curing also. Last year we purchased a little buddy conveyor dryer. What a difference!!! Man you print, throw it on the conveyor and move on! No watching the clock, no worrying about undercuring. I bought mine as a demo form my supplier who also holds training classes. I saved about $200.00 and it was it great shape. No question. get one!
Good Luck

Hello! The company I work for in Kansas City, Missouri called Executive Marketing Promotions, Inc. provides outsourcing options to many printshops all over the country. We do the work you do not have time for. We have departments in place that handle your art, ordering, production, and shipping. Our pricing is amazing, we can provide you with shirts for around $3.50 printed because of the massive amount of volumes we do. Many of our suppliers have warehouses locally and deliver our orders within twenty-four hours from the mill. You can stress less and just worry about billing your client. I can drop ship to any location in the US and would love the opportunity to help you in anyway I can.

Please let me know if there is anything I can help with! I look forward to the possibility of working closely with you on the things you might need!

Sincerely,

Jenny
