?Printing with crystaline(sparkle) ink?

Posted on Thu, 23 Sep 2004 at 16:12

I am trying to print with crystaline ink, I have a few questions for anyone who might be able to answer them, Thanks in advance!
1) what mesh count works best?
2) what brand of crystaline to use?
3) Can I make my own with ultra-fine sparkle mixed with soft-hand base?
4) what kind of emulsion have you used for crystaline ink?
Any other info you might think is informative please add!

Brian, I can answer all your questions. 1) 60 mesh count. 2) Any brand is fine. They are basicly all the same. 3) You can make your own, however you need to use a clear base, or glitter base not softhand. 4) Any emulsion will work, I would use an SBQ Photopolymer like Image Mate PC-701. On low mesh counts the thick viscosity of this emulsion will build up better with less pinholes. Plus PC-701 exposes super fast.
