I'm researching some options for starting a clothing company and I can't seem to find any information about retagging policies for brand name clothing. Is it not common practice to retag existing blank apparel, (eg.Hanes, American Apparel)? Does anyone know of brands that allow retagging, or are there any suggestions as to how I could have my label on apparel without spending too much upfront capitol?
Cheers,

I detagged some Gilden's for my line and used a one shot tagless image of my logo w/ care instructions. As to my knowledge, nothing is required to have "gilden" say that it is or isnt ok to use their shirt like this. As long as you put the wash instructions and type of material the garmet is. For example: burn victims and fire fighters, this is a key element for removing the garmet when needed.
