digital transfer to wood?

Is there an easy way to transfer digital art onto a wooden surface?
I'm a digital artist and I'd like to try printing on something more than paper or canvas.

Sure. It depends on the printer you are using but I use a color laser with a high heat. So the paper I use is either, Techniprint or Mugs&More. I then use a heat press with a rubberlike pad. This pad will help press the paper into the wood evenly. We don't use a clamshell style heat press because it's difficult to place the piece in and still get an even print. We use the DK20 which is the Digital Knight 16 x 20 press.

Sometimes if you heat and press for a few seconds, lift the press off of the part than do it again for double to triple the time, the paper peels off great and the image left is vivid. Heat times will depend on the paper, but I usually go around 350?.

Good Luck
