MIL-SPEC Ink

HELP!!
Government contract.
Drawing requirement is for ink per MIL-I-43553, Type optional.
MIL-I-43553 has been superseded by A-A-56032, Commercial Item Description for Epoxy Base Marking Ink.
We have identified a product (Polyscreen TP) that we feel has sufficient properties to meet the practical requirements, however, we cannot support that this product is in compliance with A-A-56032 (We are not prepared to test to spec) We are not necessarily looking for another product(although we may have to do that), rather a rationale that the product we have is O.K.

Any thoughts?
