Ideal/Standard Dot Shapes

I just keep coming with more questions, don't I?

Does anyone know of good general guidelines concerning dot shapes for silk-screen printing? Currently I use 70/30 ellipse for 85 LPI at 1440x1440 DPI. It depends on the mesh of the screen, correct?
