We are trying to screen print 4' x 4' wooden signs for a local political race.
We are using Nazdar 2700 ink with poor results.
The ink is not going through the screen sufficiently, leaving a lot of bare spots.
It gets worse with every sign we made, and then seemed as though the ink was drying on the screen preventing almost any ink from getting through.
We are volunteer amateurs looking for suggestions on what we may need to do to make this work better.
are you in a dry climate?
try a humidifier.
use lots af retarder (any waterbased brand)
what mesh are you printing through?
bigger mesh is easier to keep wet.
flood your image after the print!!! (after pulling the squeegee towards you on the screen to print, use it to push a thin layer of ink into the mesh where your image is.
this keeps wet ink in the stencil while you arent printing and keeps it from drying.
you can do it.
Id should check with you here. Which isn't something I normally do! I take pleasure in reading a submit that will make people think. Additionally, thanks for permitting me to comment!

Are you thinning the ink? You should thin the ink about 10% with a product called RE192 Retarder, this will allow the ink to flow better and slow down the drying in the screen. You will need to print at as fast a pace as you can to prevent the ink from drying in the screen. What mesh count are you using? Please feel welcome to give us a call.
