WHERE DO I GET BLANK ITEMS TO PAD PRINT ON AT WHOLESALE PRICES? THIS SEEMS TO BE THE MOST DISCOURAGING PART IN STARTING UP OUR NEW BUSINESS. THANKS!
I've been researching this for sometime. It appears to me the big companies have a lock on it they can buy large quantities cheap overseas. They may sell you some of their product but not at a price you can compete with. If you want to get into the golf ball printing biz, Titleist and the others will sell their golfballs to you but you can't
beat their prices on printed balls. It seems if they make a product I bet their competing with you on the printing side also.
I have seen many people ask your same question, I've even asked it.....
NEVER AN ANSWER.
Many equipment suppliers will tell you they will help then after buying their pads or ink
you bug them long enough they will give you a guy that will sell you a plastic letter opener for $2.00. Then he won't respond with a sample or catalog.
I see people buying these manual machine for alot of money, then selling them the next year because they either couldn't work the machine or they weren't consistent.
The typical false hope of starting a business and people are out $5,000 and selling next year for $2,000.
I HOPE I UPSET SOME PEOPLE!!!
Maybe they will come to this site with some real solutions and not just peddle their
ink and other junk.
I am a North American distributor of pad print machines. I sell everything from manual to automatics and have in the past many customers that have run into your situation. They buy a expensive manual pad printer with the understanding that the company they bought from was going to "help" them by suppling them with everything they need only to find out 1) they receive a book with a lot of company names that are either selling items at retail or are out of business or 2) have to join and pay a membership fee to purchase any supplies from them. My though would be to find a few items that are made in the USA that you would like to print on.go to your local wallmart, hardware, store office supply ect. Call the manufacture find out what it would take to be a distributor and get a price list. You may have to keep a small inventory. If you have a product line you will have your printing process worked out and you can be able to be competitive. You are not just selling a product. You should be selling prompt quality service also.
