need help with padprinter setup Please help

Posted on Sat, 30 Oct 2004 at 19:38

Greetings,

My wife and I just bought a one color pad printer . I need help setting up the machine . it was not clearly picking up the logo. it was light in color and the smaller print was not clear. after a few tries the ink cup started kind of skidding over the plate. when the ink cup slides over the plate it does not move smoothly. I have checked my ink cup and it does not seem to be broken.

Please help us get this machine operational so we can move forward with this pad printing business.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Frank,
It sounds like the image isn't properly etched in the plate. When we did pad printing, we had our plates made and used the alcohol wash polymer plates. If the cup is "chattering" when sliding over the plate, as I remember, it was either the plate or too much pressure on the cup. You can email me privately if you want. I was soooo happy when we stopped doing pad printing. It is very finicky. I will be back on line at 3:30 PM CST, I live in Texas. We can make arrangements to talk over the phone then if you want. Have a BLESSED week.
God Bless You
Don

Hi Frank,

I tink the same at Don , etching plate is hard if you dont have the machine to mesure the etched.
metal plate or polymar plate etched is supose to go at 28 micron deep, at this deep you are ok ! if you dont have 28 micron you are in trouble.

You can talk whit your dealer at plate if i have the mechine to mesure the deep in plate and give her one plate at you etching , i gun a give you the etched deep.

P.S. under 25 micron is not good and over 30 micron is not good to.

Hope gun help you.
