did i need extra separations?

i know to create separations for offset but i been told that for silckscreen i need to ad Substrates - a separation under my normal separate inks, especialy in bright colours for to maintain the colorfulness. what to do? just to separate us i do in offset, or is something more?

Just output film positives instead of negatives at 65 lines for process and anywhere from 40-55 for spot colors. Halftones should range from 10% to 75% and allow for dot gain of about 25 - 30 % (where the ink makes the dot swell on the shirt) If you have solid colors or bold text in the design you will need to use a seperate screen for them unless you use a very large dot like 40 45 lpi.
Otherwise your solids will be too light. Sometimes you'll need to burn extra spot colors for solid areas in 4 color process aswell. Good Luck!
