Vastex has made upgrades to its EC-II-30 infrared dryer that the company says make it a better value than ever before. The EC-II now comes standard with Scrub Air, which is forced hot air that aids in curing water-based and discharge inks. New heater diagnostics let the operator know any time any part of the dryer malfunctions. If a failure occurs, the diagnostic light tells the operator exactly where the problem is. The EC-II also features variable belt-speed control, a digital PID temperature control, and infrared focusing. The EC-II-30 dryer has a 30-in.-wide (762-mm) belt and is 7.25 ft (2210 mm) long. It has two 3000-watt heaters, filtered air intake, a belt tracking system, and diagnostic pilot lights. It can be expanded by adding chambers or belt extensions. Vastex, 1032 N.
