EFI bills the two newest members of the VUTEk QS family as ease-of-entry options for graphics printers who want to add UV inkjet printing to their product lineups. The QS2000 and QS3200 are four- and six-color models that offer printing resolutions up to 1080 dpi on rigid and flexible substrates up to 10.5 ft (3.2 m) wide and 2 in. (51 mm) thick. EFI says changeover from flexible to rigid substrates can be completed in less than a minute. The printers use QS Series UV inks in four- and six-color configurations, as well as six colors with white ink. Both units are field upgradable.
