Vastex beefed up its RedFlash flash-curing unit with a 3500-watt heater and an optional heavy-duty stand designed to withstand daily use and offer long life. The company says the stand’s legs have a more balanced design, allowing them to fit under the press, as well as improved side handles, which are bolted to the frame on each side of the curing unit nearest to the operator. The operator’s hands are kept away from the top of the RedFlash, where most of the heat is. Other features include power connectors located on the side of the heater for simplified maintenance and elimination of hot spots. The RedFlash head rotates 360° and has an integrated heat control, an adjustable-height stand, a head-pitch adjustment, a 2.75-in. head height, and anti-rust treatment on its powder-coated-steel construction. The RedFlash is available in sizes of 18 x 18 in. (457 x 457 mm) and 18 x 24 in. (457 x 610 mm) and comes with a three-year, limited warranty and a ten-year warranty on the heating element.
