Marabu Unveils New Packaging Inks
Now offering UV LED and low-migration formulations.
At the K 2016 plastics exhibition held in Düsseldorf, Germany, last fall, Marabu unveiled two new UV-curable inks for the packaging industry. Ultra Pack LEDC is a LED-curable product designed specifically for packaging and container printing that minimizes thermal stress on the substrate while requiring no preheating or ventilation. Applicable substrates include pretreated polyethylene and polypropylene, polyester, rigid PVC, polycarbonate, and polystyrene. Ultra Pack UVCP is a low-migration ink designed for personal care packaging such as bottles, cosmetic tubes, and toothpaste containers where the ink must not transfer from the outer decoration to the product. Its substrate range includes pretreated polyethylene, pretreated polypropylene, and polycarbonate.
