Orders Increase for Printed Circuit Board Market
IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries releases statistical findings.
IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries (www.ipc.org) has released the May findings from its monthly North American Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Statistical Program. Total shipments decreased 3.5 percent from the previous month of April; decline over the previous year was at 4.2 percent. PCB orders, however, had increased by 10.4 percent since May 2014. The book-to-bill ratio – calculated by dividing the value of orders booked over the past three months by the value of sales billed during the same period – was 1.02. A ratio of more than 1.00 suggests that current demand is ahead of supply – a positive indicator for sales growth.
