Roland Adds Wide-Format Printer/Cutters

Includes updates to increase printing and cutting accuracy.

Roland DGA has announced its newest generation of wide-format eco-solvent printer/cutters, the TrueVis VG2 series. The line features the 64-in. VG2-640 and 54-in. VG2-540. The TrueVis VG2 series offers expanded color choices, improved efficiency, and increased print-and-cut accuracy, according to the company. The printer/cutters feature specially formulated TR2 ink, available in three color configurations: CMYK, CMYKcm + light black + white, and CMYKcm + light black + orange.

Additional features include Multiprocess Color Function for using orange as a process color; True Rich Color preset for combining vibrant color with neutral grays and skin tones; four Roland DG FlexFire printheads; automated middle pinch rollers; new crop mark options; VersaWorks 6 RIP software; Bluetooth-enabled printer management with Roland DG Mobile Panel; Nozzle Mask Function; max. 1200-dpi resolution; and TU-4 takeup unit. The VG2 series and TR2 ink are certified through the 3M MCS Warranty, Avery Dennison’s ICS performance guarantee, and Greenguard Gold. Applications include vehicle wraps, backlit signage, wall graphics, signs and banners, heat transfer graphics, and decals.
