Two Tabletop Printers from Mimaki

Introducing the UJF Mark II Series.

Mimaki has revealed the UJF Mark II Series of UV-LED tabletop printers. The 11.8- and 24-in. models are capable of printing on objects up to 6 in. thick and 16.5 in. long. The smaller UJF-3042 Mark II model offers CMYK ink, plus white, clear, and jettable primer; the 6042 Mark II model also adds light cyan and magenta. Users can choose from scratch- and chemical-resistant LH-100 ink or flexible and scratch-resistant LUS-120 ink, each offered in 1-L bottles. The company reports its LUS-150 ink for thermoforming applications will be available for this series in the future.

A fully enclosed print area is designed to reduce dust and other airborne particles. The series is also equipped with laser sensor media detection and automated gap check. The flatbeds accommodate jigs created for previous models, eliminating the need to create new ones.

Additional features include Mimaki’s proprietary Advanced Pass System 4, Waveform Control, Circulation Technology, and Check Unit and Recovery System. Both models are networkable with Gigabit Ethernet for multiple printer connections, and each features an automated hot folder-based workflow. Mimaki’s RasterLink 6 RIP software is optional.
