Xerox expanded its family of wide-format color printers with the addition of the Xerox 8265/8290 and 8365/8390 models. The 8265/8290 is designed for printing indoor or outdoor applications on a variety of coated and uncoated media. It features print speeds up to 215 sq ft/hr (20 sq m/hr), resolutions up to 1440 dpi, four- or six-color inksets, eco-solvent ultra ink, print longevity of up to three years without lamination, and variable-dot technology. The 8365/8390 model can produce long-term backlit displays, street furniture, wall murals, stage graphics, and flags—in addition to conventional indoor/outdoor graphics. The 8365 model features print speeds up to 215 sq ft/hr, resolutions up to 720 dpi, and variable-dot, drop-on-demand technology. Both models print on substrates as wide as 65 in. (1651 mm). Other features include eight ink channels, 360 nozzle heads/ink channel, a motorized winder/unwinder system, interweaving print technology, and mild-solvent ultra ink.
